From chapter 1, "The Generator". Every guide is written like a story, with real research behind it.
Sunday, 1:00pm. A family lunch. Chiamaka looks exhausted. Obinna looks worse.
"He snores," Chiamaka told Amara over jollof rice. "Not normal snoring. Like a generator. Then it stops. Silence. Then a huge gasp, like he is drowning. Then the generator starts again. All night. I sleep in the guest room now. And he is always tired. He falls asleep watching TV at 8pm. He fell asleep at his own birthday dinner. And he has no interest in... you know. At all."
Across the table, Obinna was nodding off over his plate.
Thursday. The Car Park Sessions. Obinna, very honest.
"I sleep eight hours," Obinna said, "and wake up like I have not slept at all. I am tired all day. I drink three coffees before noon. My boss thinks I am lazy. My wife sleeps in another room. And my desire? Gone. I thought it was work stress. Work is stressful. But this feels like more."
Jide asked one question: "Does Chiamaka say you stop breathing at night?"
Obinna looked up, surprised. "How did you know?"
