Read the opening
From chapter 1, "The Silent Years". Every guide is written like a story, with real research behind it.
Thursday, 7:00pm. Amara's cake shop. Chioma, a glass of wine and a new man in her life.
Chioma had been divorced for nearly two years. She had done the therapy, the physio, the healing. Now there was Dele: a gentle, funny secondary school maths teacher she had met at a friend's birthday. They had been dating for three months. Things were getting serious.
"I was married for six years," Chioma said, turning her glass. "And in six years, I never once asked for anything in bed. Not once. I just... went along with whatever happened. And I was miserable. I do not want to do that again. But I do not know how to ask. Even thinking about it makes my face hot."
Amara pulled up a stool. "Then we practise."
"Practise? Here? In a cake shop?"
"Everything is easier with cake."
